Adalita

Her second solo record All Day Venus further establishes Adalita as one of the great local performers of our time. That first one was…beyond words. This new one is crunchier, fuzzier, more visceral. She is what many local musicians aspire to be. Formed Magic Dirt as a teenager; it’s hard to think of a more inspiring local musician than this Geelong-raised one. Ask those that grew up with them and many would say Magic Dirt was “their” Sonic Youth, Nirvana or Dinosaur Jr. Especially the many young bands that have graced the Supernatural stage. That same fuzzed out rock can be heard on her latest album – sitting alongside some of the most poignant, heartfelt music of her career. Adalita is just so…..Adalita.
